As artists, we recognize the importance of creating beautiful things that bring joy into one’s life—that special piece that makes you smile or evokes a memory. As independent makers, we respect that function is important too. At the Black Crow Gallery, you will find an eclectic mix of form and function, of old and new, of original and reimagined. Stroll through two floors of original art, home décor, jewelry, pottery, candles, soaps, antiques, vintage items, books, cards, clothing and accessories. Our assortment is ever-changing, and our prices keep customers coming back. You'll never know what you may find, but you are sure to enjoy yourself in the process.
Our Story
The Black Crow Gallery was established in 2007 after Wendy saw a "For Rent" sign in the window of the old Bird Barn nestled in the marsh on Scorton Creek. That night, she dreamt of a whimsical gallery where like-minded hippies could present their art. It didn’t take long to convince Peter Peltz to hand her the keys. While cleaning the little shack, she was visited by scores of local artists who heard what was going on and wanted to be involved. Magically, the tiny structure morphed into a very special gallery.
Over the years, we have grown and expanded our focus inward to find our voice, but the soul of the Crow remains consistent. We are a haven for accomplished as well as burgeoning local artists and artisans. We're not as big as some shops, but we have things you can’t find anywhere else- things made by hand, made with love, made with the passion of artists exploring and refining their skills. Many of our customers first discovered us in that little shack and are still coming back. They know that we offer a special experience. We can’t wait to share it with you too.
